Thoughts on Seneca Chief
Seneca Chief runs this afternoon at Sandown in the 1.30. Tom Marquand is in the irons for the five furlong handicap sprint and they are drawn in stall 1. Seneca Chief has an excellent record at the track, a winner last summer he was also second on his first run there this season. He is in great form since the removal of the hood, winning at Salisbury before finishing strongly at Lingfield & Newmarket in races that suited those nearest the front of the race.
A field of six with Nefarious a non-runner. A competitive race, Street Parade has won over course and distance3 this summer and hasn’t been beaten far in any of his starts since, whilst the progessive three year olds Glamourous Breeze and Wings Of A Dove have both not been beaten far on recent starts.
Seneca Chief is owned by and was bred by Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. He is by Invincible Spirit, out of the Namid mare, Albertine Rose. Today he will be led up by Epona Miller, and overseen by travelling manager, Shaun Johnson. He is cared for at home by Jan Kasecky.
