Thoughts on Seneca Chief

Seneca Chief makes his return to the racetrack tonight at Wolverhampton in the 8.10pm this evening (10th of February). Josephine Gordon is in the irons for the five furlong handicap. He has drawn wide in stall 11, which makes his task challenging.

This looks an interesting contest, with several coming here with decent recent form at this sort of level. Jorvik Prince won a lower class race on his first start for new connections pretty comprehensively in a decent time and then failed to see out six furlongs in between, back down to five, now sporting a hood he should continue to give a good account. The comfort with which he held Superseded suggests Cuban Spirit and Fareeq have a bit to find with him although at this level the differences are often small and a lot depends on luck. Qaaraat and Time to Reason are also capable against this kind of opposition.

Seneca Chief is owned and was bred by Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. He is by Invincible Spirit, out of Albertine Rose. The gelding will be led up by James Pulley and overseen by Shaun Johnson.
