Thoughts on Seneca Chief
Seneca Chief heads to Sandown Park today for the 1.30. Adam McNamara is aboard the gelding for the five furlong handicap. Seneca Chief bids for a repeat success of his most recent win over course and distance earlier this month. He is drawn in stall 7. A step up in grade following his good recent run of form with three wins in his last four starts. This will be the easiest surface that Seneca Chief has encountered to date.
A book to from Spoof who enjoys a bit of cut in the ground looks the horse to beat after his good win at Windsor on Monday. Doc Sportello is another recent winner, albeit that was over six furlongs, who poses a threat. The three year old Tom Tulliver hasn’t had much go right for him recently and this might be slightly easier then some of the contests he has taken part in of late.
Seneca Chief was bred by and races for Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. The six year old gelding is by Invincible Spirit, out of the Namid mare, Albertine Rose. Today he will be led up by Alice Roberts and overseen by Shaun Johnson.
