Thoughts on Shamiana at Wolverhampton tomorrow.

Shamiana heads to Wolverhampton tomorrow (19th November) for the 5.30. Richard Kingscote takes the ride in the extended nine furlong handicap. Shamiana ran a reasonable race on her first start for us to finish fourth over 8,5 furlongs at Wolverhampton. She worked quite hard in front in a race that set up for some of those further back in the pack. This is the furthest the filly has run over, she ought to get the trip on her homework, physique and pedigree but one never quite knows until its tried. Her draw isn’t the most helpful but there is no need for her to make the running as she did last time so hopefully it shouldn’t be too inconvenient.

In a weak contest most of these horses have something to prove. My Claire has been close on two recent starts over course and distance and should play a part in proceedings. Appyjack is a course and distance winner and ran well enough last time out to suggest he won’t be far away. Greyemkay is in reasonable heart and ran ok on his last couple of starts and should put in a similar effort once again which could be enough in this company.
