Thoughts on Shamiana at Wolverhampton Tonight

Shamiana is headed to Wolverhampton for the 6.50 tonight (26th November). Steve Drowne takes the ride in the extended mile handicap. Shamiana appears to take her racing remarkably well for a smallish lightly framed filly. She’s in good heart and can hopefully go close once again. She seems happy enough on the surface at Wolverhampton, which is currently receiving an unreasonable amount of criticism. The kick back is quite significant and not ideal but we have seen no signs of the surface causing injuries as is claimed by some.

The race itself centres around Be Royale who comes into the contest carrying a penalty for a recent win over seven furlongs. Bladewood Girl and Bond Artist will be the most likely candidates to cause an upset.
