Thoughts on Sognatore

Sognatore runs this evening in the 6.45 at Wolverhampton. Adam McNamara is on board for the nine and a half furlong handicap. The pair are drawn in stall 2. Sognatore steps up in distance from seven furlongs for his handicap debut.

A competitive race with a few runners making their handicap debuts. A case could be made for nearly any of the runners. Bosphorous missed out by a head last time out on handicap debut over this course and distance, but there are plenty stepping up in trip here that could improve past him. Bright Sky looked like he would relish the extra distance when just beaten over a mile in a decent time at Kempton last time out.

Sognatore races for Capture The Moment and Crowd Racing. He is by Vadamos, out of the Dalakhani mare, Of Course Darling. He will be led up by regular rider and yard manager, Lauren Webb and overseen by travelling manager, Shaun Johnson.
