Thoughts on Sognatore
Sognatore runs in the 4.55 at Yarmouth this afternoon. Liam Keniry is in the irons for the mile classified stakes. Sognatore has been somewhat frustrating, he clearly has ability as demonstrated with some reasonable efforts in maiden and novice company, but has also been too keen on a couple of occasions to run his races properly. This drop back to a mile should help him settle better and hopefully finish his race properly.
This is an open race as a lot of the field are still in the early phase of their career. Bearwith was a solid second last time out in a handicap at Brighton and finished as if the extra furlong here will suit and that probably sets the standard, the most obvious rival is Piselli Molli who was third on her first two starts before stumbling at the break last time and then struggling on the fibresand so run probably best ignored. Of the more exposed types Spirituoso would be danger if running to her best in a first time visor.
Sognatore races for Capture the Moment and Crowd Racing. He will be led up today by Jade Kent at home he is looked after Ilse Belien and normally ridden by Lauren Webb.
