Thoughts on Solar Portrait
One runner today, Solar Portrait heads to Leicester where he will line up in a handicap for apprentice jockeys at 2.05pm, Harry Davies takes the ride.
Solar Portrait is a big burly horse who has progressed with each race, both physically and mentally. His mark looks fair and he should be competitive at this level. Harry is one of the most experienced and best riders in the race, which is always a plus in these races. The ground shouldn’t be an issue.
Sixteen runners on soft ground with apprentice jockeys on board lends itself to a chaotic type of race. Last time out winners Ceilidh and Loal Bay look amongst the more obvious candidates. Ey Up Its Jazz has thrown in the odd poor run lately but the majority of form gives him a good chance in this company and he has a good rider on baord.
Solar Portrait runs for the Innovate racing syndicate and will be led up by Tamsin Karn.
