Thoughts on Tipsy Star at Newmarket tomorrow
Tipsy Star makes her racecourse debut tomorrow (October 23rd) in the 2.30 at Newmarket. Silvestre De Sousa rides the filly in the seven furlong maiden. Tipsy Star hasn’t been with us for very long but has done plenty of pre-training with her owner breeder. She has looked to have a reasonable amount of ability in the work that she has done since joining us and if she can overcome the inevitable first time out lack of experience should be capable of running nicely in what looks to be a very open race. She ought to enjoy the soft going given her action and her homework.
The race is wide open with those having already raced doing nothing to suggest they are anything out of the ordinary, several however are capable of improving. Fray looks to be the most obvious one to pick of those with experience. There are some well bred fillies making their debuts who could be anything but it is complete guess work to pick one out.
