Thoughts on Tipsy Star tomorrow at Kempton
Tipsy Star has her second start in the 5.55 at Kempton Park tomorrow (13th of November). Steve Drowne takes the ride in the mile maiden. Tipsy Star was very green on debut and it was a little disappointing as she has always been good at home. She missed the break quite badly that day which didn’t help matters. The jockey felt the dead ground wasn’t really to her liking that day either and looked after her in the latter stages of the race. She has continued to work nicely at home and can hopefully put in a better show this time around with a bit of experience under her belt. The draw is a little wider than one would like but hopefully won’t be too much of a disadvantage.
The race doesn’t look the strongest event on paper with the 73 rated Oriental Relation looking one of the more solid types on form. The step up in trip wouldn’t be an obvious reason for improvement and the winner is more likely be one of the more lightly raced individuals. Donncah finished ahead of a subsequent winner on his second start in a strong enough maiden to suggest he will play a part in the finish. Itsnowcato is another possible improver now he has experience under his belt.
