Thoughts on Today’s Runners

Two runners at the Brighton Festival. In the 4:00 Aira Force tries to capture the Brighton Bullet a valuable 6 furlong handicap for the grade. At 5:10 the consistent Moondial bids for the third win over her career in the seven furlong handicap. Luke Morris will be on board.

Aira Force

Aira Force hasn’t quite shown her full potential on the track this season. She’s a neat well balanced filly so should enjoy the track. She wears a tongue tie for the first time.

A competitive race for the grade. It looks like even Saeed Bin Suroor has laid a Godolphin horse out for this in Secret Moment. The veteran Count Otto has enjoyed the recent drop in grade and comes here in good heart. Granary Queen enjoys the track but may be better over seven.

Aira Force runs in the colours of Gary & Lesley Middlebrook. She will be led up by Tamsin Karn who rides and cares for her at home.

Moondial

Moondial has been a model of consistency this season and whilst one never quite knows until you try it she should relish this track as she looks to have the right physique for it. She is lightly raced on the turf so that gives room for some small potential improvement still.

Harry Haggler has been knocking on the door but its probably No News who brings the strongest piece of seven furlong form to the party. Handicap debutant showed promised on her second start and stepping up a furlong is another potential danger.

Moondial runs in the colours of the Diskovery Partnership, a syndicate managed by Daniel & Claire. We will be launching new Diskovery Partnerships in the coming weeks so please get in touch to find out more. She will be led up today by Sammy Barnett.
