Thoughts on today’s runners
Two runners today at Kempton, Bravo Zulu is first up in th 6pm contest followed by Andaleep in the 7pm, both horses will be ridden by Richard Kingscote.
Bravo Zulu
Bravo Zulu made a fine start to his career at Wolverhampton. He was very green in the early phases of the race but finished to good effect. A scopey colt he will continue to develop as a three year old and will stay further. He will be better suited by this more galloping track and should know a lot more. This is a valuable maiden (£30,000) and we have waited to run in it.
A pretty open looking race with Ezra Cee and Character Testing and State Flag all having shown solid form that others will need to improve to better.
Bravo Zulu runs for the Capture The Moment syndicate and will be led up by Ilse Belien.
Andaleep
Andaleep ran really well in the valuable London Middle Distance Series final to be second, having enjoyed no luck in running. This race is the final qualifier for the Stayers series final and is a bit of an experiment. The run style of many all weather longer distance races may suit Andaleep. We will learn something these evening at least, and if its a positive lesson the final is an exciting prospect.
Perseus Way is a big scopey sort and although never really tried at this trip does have very smart hurdling form which gives him a good chance of his stamina holding out. If it doesn’t Oceanline certainly does see the trip out and won last month on the flat. September Power has couple of weaker runs of late but they can probably be ignored on account of the ground. C’mon Kenny is another who stays the trip and handles the all weather.
Andaleep runs in the colours of owner James Finch and will be led up by Shannon Pasotti who rides and cares for him daily at home.
