Thoughts on Todays Runners

Two runners at Wolverhampton this afternoon. Nyala is up first in the 2.10, George Downing rides in the seven furlong novice race. A weak backward filly who has done well over the winter she should show more than on her sole racecourse visit as a two year old. The race has open look with those that have run most setting a decent standard led by Rasima and Perfection, however any number of fillies in the line up are open to improvement and a surprise result is not inconceivable.

Dawn Commando heads out in the 4.25 for the extended nine furlong novice race with George Downing on board. A big galloping horse who will only improve as the year goes he qualifies for a mark after this run and looks to be up against it alongside side previous winners Mootasadir and Well Suited. Starcaster having shown promise on both starts to date and very much on pedigree the type to improve this year is another danger.
