Thoughts on today’s runners

Two runners today (Tuesday 14th of May) at Chepstow in the 2.30. Don Diego Vega has his third start in the mile novice race with George Downing in the saddle. Gelded over the winter this run will qualify Don Diego Vega for a handicap mark. Zephyrina will make her debut under David Egan, she is a filly with a nice pedigree, being a half sister to a German Oaks runner up and Group 3 winner Djumama.

The race looks likely to be fought out between the experienced Itizzit who has an official rating of 77 and the lightly raced pair Noble Fox who was third on debut and Doughan Alb who was second on debut before finding ten furlongs in good company too far last time.

Don Diego Vega will be led up Business Intern Fenella Holland who is gaining experience of many facets of a training yard and is making her debut in the parade ring. Zephyrina will be led up Yard Manager Lauren Webb and proceedings will be overseen by Travelling Manager Shaun Johnson.
