Thoughts on Today’s Runners
Sarsen Farm sends out another two runners this afternoon. First up, Hydraulic runs in the 3.50pm at Chepstow. Liam Keniry is on the gelding for the first time in the 12 furlong Maiden Stakes. The pair are drawn in stall 8. Hydraulic is progressing with each start and after this run he will gain a handicap mark, which will give him more options to race over further.
Hydraulic was bred by Bjorn Nielson, and is owned by David Blunt and Gary Middlebrook. The gelding was purchased as a yearling at Tattersalls October Book 2 sales. He is by Golden Horn, out of the Norse Dancer mare, Dorcas Lane. Today he will be led up by yard manager, Lauren Webb.
Our second runner of the day is Salsa Dip, in the 7.25pm at Haydock Park. Jason Watson is on board for the seven furlong maiden stakes and they are drawn in stall 3. Salsa Dip is learning on the job and he will get a handicap mark after today’s run.
Salsa Dip races for Capture The Moment, a partnership personally managed by Daniel and Claire. The gelding is by Camacho, out of the Benny The Dip mare, Baltic Dip and was purchased at Tattersalls Ireland September sales. Salsa Dip will be led up by James Pulley and overseen by Shaun Johnson. There is just one 25% share available in this big strong gelding.
