Thoughts on Today’s Runners

Two runners at Wolverhampton today, Richard Kingscote is aboard both. Outrage is up first in the 6.50 at five furlong handicap. Outrage finished a strong second last week at Newcastle when the splits just didn’t come soon enough for him to close down the leader. Stall ten does him no favours and the track doesn’t always play to his strengths, however he will get a raise from the handicapper as a result of last weeks run and this is therefore his last chance over five furlongs in this grade, which he looks a class above.

Outrage’s main rivals come out of a race over course and distance where the first seven we split by just a length and a quarter, the winner that day was Prince of Rome, You’re Cool was in third & Tathmeen didn’t get a lot of luck that day. Shamshon is dangerous down at this level on the all weather, albeit he isn’t perhaps the force of old.

Outrage belongs to the ‘Capture the Moment” he has won 8 of 43 career starts. You can join a fresh new partnership in a strong colt by exciting young stallion New Bay. Outrage will be led up this evening by James Pulley.

Saigon Suzi runs in the 8.20. A filly who has taken time to develop she was disappointing on handicap debut at Bath in the summer when the tacky ground wasn’t really to her liking. She is better then that and we are looking for a step forward from her this evening from a good draw.

Billie Portwin aboard Saigon Suzi

A pretty competitive race for this level with three last time out winners likely to feature prominently, Dragons Will Rise won the strongest of those races and if repeating that performance is the horse to beat here. Lady of York shouldn’t be discounted with the tongue tie back on.

Saigon Suzi is owned and was bred by Vivienne O’Sullivan at Howard Barton Stud. She is the second foal out of Cio Cio San who has already bred Nyala who won for the Vivienne when trained by the yard. Saigon Suzi will be led up this evening by Billie Portwin.
