Thoughts on Today’s Runners

Zulu Girl runs in the 1.15 at Lingfield. Richard Kingscote is in the saddle for the one mile handicap as the filly looks to build on her second at Brighton last time out. That was her first start since joining us and looked to be an improvement in form. She has been raised by the handicapper as a result and takes on a better field here. This is her first start on the all weather but that shouldn’t be an issue.

The race looks open with several with solid course, distance and class form but the biggest danger looks to be Mykonos St John who put up an improved performance on seasonal reappearance last time out. Albadr hasn’t been the most consistent of types in his career to date but starts out for new connections and if able to deliver on some of the potential he has shown in the past could be a danger.

Zulu Girl is owned by Colin & Trish Fletcher Hall and will be led up today by Ilse Belien.

Look Ahead makes her debut in the 7.30 at Windsor. The scopey filly is ready for an introduction but is expected to improve for the race. She should enjoy the soft going.

Look Ahead

Remedium sets what looks a good standard having found only subsequent Lingfield Derby Trial winner Third Realm too good last time out, with several of those in behind having run well since. Zuraig should improve for his debut experience whilst Luisa Casati wasn’t beaten far in what turned out to be a good maiden on her second start.

Look Ahead is owned and was bred by Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. She is by Fountain of Youth out of the listed placed mare Dance of Light. She will be led up today by Epona Miller and overseen by Shaun Johnson.
