Thoughts on Today’s Runners

Three runners sent out from Sarsen Farm this afternoon. First up is Helm Rock in the 2.45 at Wolverhampton. James Sullivan is aboard the three year old gelding for the one mile handicap after he steered him to victory twice this season. The pair are drawn in stall 7. He travelled very well last time out at Sandown over a mile and a quarter but failed to get home. He should be well suited by dropping back in trip to a mile.

The two fillies Tarroob and Priortise both bring solid recent form to the table and have only had four starts each leaving them open to progression. Asdaa however has a good all weather record and has probably achieved a bit more on the track so should not be discounted. Helm Rock is by Pivotal, out of the Invincible Spirit mare, Nibbling. He will be led up by James Pulley, who looks after him at home, and overseen by Shaun Johnson. Helm Rock is owned by Capture The Moment.

Our second runner of the day is Outrage in the 5.45 at Nottingham. Richard Kingscote is in the irons for the five furlong sprint and the pair are drawn in stall 5. The pair have a good record together this season, winning twice already and were second on softer than ideal ground last time out at Bath.

Outrage’s main rival today looks to be Abate who is able to mix racing over five and six furlongs fairly equally. Outrage is by Exceed And Excel, out of the Cadeux Genereux mare, Ludynosa. He will be led up today by Ilse Belien. Outrage is owned by Capture The Moment.

Capture The Moment is a syndicate personally managed by Daniel and Claire. High quality prospects are purchased and raced with a small group of ambitious owners. With the upcoming yearling sales, why not get in contact and learn more about you can be part of the fun?

Our third and final runner of the day is Don’t Tell Claire at Nottingham in the 7.15. Richard Kingscote is on board the filly for the one mile handicap and they are drawn in stall 2. Don’ Tell Claire hasn’t been seen to best effect this season yet but as a result is well handicapped.

With just four rivals its an open race, Professional Widow has been highly tried and this ease in class should see her able to be very competitive again, she has achieved more than Celtic Empress and Wise Judgment, however it might be worth noting that the latter is the only one with form on ground faster than good. Don’t Tell Claire is by Gutaifan, out of the Mount Nelson mare, Avenbury. She is owned by and races for Andrew Stonehill and will be led up today by Sammy Barnett.
