Thoughts on Today’s Runners

Two runners being sent out from Sarsen Farm this afternoon (September 3rd). First up is Liberty Warrior in the 1.35 at Newcastle. Jason Hart is in the irons for the mile and a quarter handicap and they are drawn in stall 8. He ran well and finished of nicely to be second last time out.

Twisted Dream steps back up in trip and but needs to show he can stay this distance as so far that hasn’t looked likely. Kentucky Kingdom is in contention for a double and could be competitive if he is to repeat his performance from last time out at Chelmsford.

Liberty Warrior is owned by Capture The Moment. He is by Muhaarar, out of the Royal Applause mare, Oui Say Oui. He will be led up by Epona Miller and overseen by Shaun Johnson.

Our second runner of the day is Helm Rock in the 4.45 at Ascot. Silvestre De Sousa is onboard for the seven furlong handicap and the pair are drawn in stall 2. The drop back should be fine as he has travelled strongly over further in recent races and did win over seven furlongs at Carlisle, this will be the fastest ground he has raced and whilst he needs to prove that he handles it he should be fine on it.

Papacito is makes his handicap debut looking for a treble, after winning his first two starts so its hard to know where his limitations are. Dark Shift is one who looks like he has been a bit unlucky with circumstances and could well be one to get back on track and probably sets the benchmark on his best runs.

Helm Rock races for Capture The Moment. He is by Pivotal, out of the Invincible Spirit mare, Nibbling. He will be led up by James Pulley who looks after the gelding at home.
