Thoughts on Today’s Runners

Two runners going out from Sarsen Farm this afternoon. First up is Don’t Tell Claire in the 3.23pm at Lingfield for the one mile Listed fillies’ stakes. Jack Mitchell is in the irons and they are drawn in stall 11. Don’t Tell Claire has had a good season winning twice, including a valuable handicap at Ascot. She bids to add black type to her CV this afternoon in an open looking race. She defeated several of these fillies at Ascot last month but was behind Declared Interest and Maamora at Newmarket last time in a listed race. She does have a wide draw to overcome.

Don’t Tell Claire at Ascot

Don’t Tell Claire is by Gutaifan, out of the Mount Nelson mare, Avenbury. She races for Andrew Stonehill and was purchased as a yearling by Daniel and Claire. She will be led up today by Alice Roberts, and overseen by Shaun Johnson.

Our second runner of the day is Zulu Girl in the 8.30 at Chelmsford. Nicola Currie is on board the filly for the mile and a quarter handicap and the pair are drawn in stall 2. Zulu Girl steps up in distance today. She is a triple winner this season, and has a bit to prove on the all weather but we were keen to try her over ten furlongs before she has a winter break.

Zulu Girl is by Lethal Force, out of the Diktat mare, Upskittled. She is owned by Colin and Trish Fletcher-Hall and will be led up by Ilse Belien, who cares for the filly at home.

We have several exciting new yearlings about to start their development. Click on the button below to find out more information about a filly by Cityscape, who was bred by Byerley Stud who produce tough, hardy fillies. One of which is multiple winner, Don’t Tell Claire.
