Thoughts on Today’s Runners
Two runners are being sent out from Sarsen Farm this morning. First up we have L’Enclume in the 1.35 at Kempton. She makes her debut today with David Egan in the irons for the one mile fillies’ novice stakes. The pair are drawn in stall 10. L’enclume has shown promise in her work at home but will benefit from her first trip to the races.
A race with lots of debutants. Of these, Teardrop Rock, Sea Speedwell and Warm Smile are well bred and of the most interest. Miss Marble ran on well over course and distance on her debut, winning next time out and she is probably the one to beat here today.
L’Enclume is by Gleneagles, out of the Smart Strike mare, Mama Quilla. She was bred by and races for Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. Today she will be led up by Lauren Webb.
Next up is Outrage in the 6.00 at Wolverhampton. Jason Hart is on board for the five furlong sprint and they are drawn in stall 9. Outrage returns to the track after a short break from the turf season. This isn’t really his favoured track as it doesn’t particularly suit his hold up style of running and he has the worst of the draw. He did finish fourth in this race last year, finishing to good effect.
Dapper Man won over course and distance last month, beating a progressive favourite and looks as if he could repeat that victory, if stepping forward again. Son And Sannie races for a new stable today and won this race last year and from a good draw is probably the one to beat.
Outrage is by Exceed and Excel. out of the Cadeaux Genereux mare, Ludynosa. He races for Capture The Moment and Crowd Racing. Today he will be led up by James Pulley who looks after him at home.
The next superstars are starting their development at Sarsen Farm and we still have some shares available in a strong, robust son of Zoffany. Click on the button below to find out more information!
