Thoughts on today’s runners

Two runners today, Zulu Girl in the 2.30pm at Brighton and Elterwater in the 6.35pm at Newbury.

Zulu Girl

Zulu Girl comes here in good form and will be ridden by her usual partner Nicola Currie. She drops back in trip today and she has excellent course form , though this looks to be a competitive contest.

The main dangers appear to be Roman Dynasty whilst Verreaux Eagle seems to like 7f at Brighton so should also be feared.

Zulu Girl will be led up by Assistant Yard Manager Ilse Belien, who cares for her daily at home. She runs in the colours of owners Trish & Colin Fletcher-Hall.

Elterwater

Elterwater is making her debut on the track tonight, Richard Kingscote will be in the saddle. Elterwater is a lovely scopey filly who will come into her own over middle distances next year. She is ready to start and will come on for the experience.

There are some well-bred fillies in this contest, Cloudbreaker and Achillea stand out and of those with experience, Liftoff and Zephina look to be the most likely winners.

Elterwater runs for owner/breeders Gary and Lesley Middlebrook and she will be led up by Lauren Webb.
