Thoughts on Trimoulet today at Wolverhampton

Trimoulet bids to follow up his recent win in the 5.10 at Wolverhampton this evening (5th February). Tony Hamilton continues the partnership in Trimoulet’s first attempt at a mile and half. The plan had been to give the horse a bit longer to recover, however the conditions of the race in this late addition to the fixture list created an ideal opportunity to get a win on the board. The step up to twelve furlong ought to suit and although the track mightn’t suit quite as well as Chelmsford for the big galloper it should be ok.

On current form something is going to have to step up if Trimoulet reproduces last week’s effort. Habesh who ships across from Ireland looks the most likely, if forgiven a poor effort last time as he had been running consistently from his current mark.
