Thoughts on Tuesday’s runners

Another two runners again today out of Sarsen Farm with both horses lining up at Wolverhampton. Forest Demon is first up in the 4.10pm, closely followed by Moondial who runs in the 4.40pm. Richard Kingscote will be in the saddle in both races.

Forest Demon

Forest Demon got stuck in heavy ground at Windsor on his seasonal reappearance. He won on the all weather as a two year old at Kempton so the surface should suit.

Forest Demon

An open looking race with a group of lightly raced progressive looking three year olds meeting each other. Hat Toss was unlucky not to win on his British debut and a repeat of that run sets the standard in terms of handicap performances amongst the field. Last time out maiden winners Born Ruler and Dhariye look likely to continue to progress. It is probably worth noting that the latter won when jumping up a couple of furlongs to this trip.

Forest Demon runs in the colours of syndicate owners Capture The Moment IX and will be led up by James Pulley who cares for him daily at home.

Moondial

Moondial is a consistent filly at this sort of level, she won over seven furlongs at two. She steps back up to a mile, which where hopeful she can stay now she is a bit stronger and older.

Moondial

H Key Lails has been consistent in handicap company including in 0-60’s and probably sets the standard. However its hard to believe that connections would have persisted with Panning for Gold if they didn’t think he had more ability than he has shown. Reappearing gelded under a top class jockey rather suggests that the switch to handicaps will see him in a better light.

Moondial runs for owners Diskovery Partnership X and will be led up by Shannon Pasotti.
