Thoughts on Two Smart at Wolverhampton tomorrow
Two Smart makes her debut for the yard tomorrow (17th November) in the 3.40 at Wolverhampton. Luke Morris takes the ride in the 7 furlong fillies maiden. Two Smart hasn’t been with us very long but she has worked nicely at home and this looked a good opportunity to learn a bit more about her and try to get a win to her name. She is a good looking filly who works well at home and has shown good if inconsistent form in her career to date. The all weather surface is a new challenge for her but her action, homework and pedigree suggest is should not be an issue. Frustratingly she is poorly drawn out in stall eleven. The seven furlong start at Wolverhampton heads almost immediately into a bend so the filly will need a bit of luck. Two Smart wears a hood, something she has done in the past with her previous trainer – at home it doesn’t seem necessary but she has looked keen in races without it so it seemed sensible to retain for this start.
On official ratings Two Smart looks the horse to beat in the field and with nothing standing out amongst the lightly raced horses in the field it looks like the main threats will come from the thrice raced pair Nightlight and Wu Zetian who are rated just a couple of pounds behind Two Smart, both drawn low there looks to be little between them on paper at least.
Luke Morris sporting Two Smart’s colours to a memorable success, lets hope it’s a lucky combination again!
