Thoughts on Wednesday runners

We saddle two runners at Yarmouth today, State of Harmony makes her racecourse debut in the 1.45pm Maiden for Fillies under Rossa Ryan. Closeness is next up returning to the track following a break, she lines up at 2.20pm with Jack Mitchell in the saddle.

State of Harmony

State of Harmony will learn plenty from this first racecourse experience. She only came into training as a three year old and has developed with each piece of work.

State of Harmony

Prisha’s form is a long way clear of her rivals and she looks by far the most likely winner unless something improves dramatically.

The filly runs in the colours of owner breeders Gary & Lesley Middlebrook. She will be led up by Sammy Barnett who cares for her daily at home.

Closeness

Closeness made an encouraging start to life at Sarsen Farm, but seemed to lose interest after a couple of runs. She’s had a little break at nearby Windmill Farm and during was covered by Landforce and is in foal. All in an attempt to eek out a little improvement required for a win. This is her first run on turf for us and only her second start on the grass ever.

Closeness

Recent winner Hitched and Good Humoured look to be the most obvious canditates to take this. However Galileo Glass and Handel take a slight drop in grade and have been running well enough in slightly better races to suggest they can be involved.

Closeness runs for owner Lee New. She will be led up today by Ilse Belien who cares for her daily at home.
