Thoughts on Wild Saffron

Wild Saffron is our final of runner what has been a very successful year. With the yard breaking its prize money winning record by a substantial margin. Jack Mitchell is in the saddle for the 12.54 at Lingfield.

Wild Saffron has shown us ability at home and it was disappointing that she made a real mess of the start on her first run. She probably didn’t learn that much from the race as a result. She’s done further gate work at home and should break better today.

Rockstar Icon looked a promising sort when runner up on his second start, finishing ahead of some useful horses. He does return from a lengthy break, and is drawn widest of all, so if he doesn’t reproduce that form, Rey De La Battalla and Different Breed set a solid standard.

Wild Saffron is owned by her breeders Gary & Lesley Middlebrook. She will be led up by Epona Miller who cares for her at home and overseen by Tamsin Karn.
