Thoughts on You’re My Cracker
You’re My Cracker looks to build on two seconds from two starts for the yard in the 2.35 at Bath tomorrow (Tuesday, July 14th). Richard Kingscote who has an excellent strike rate for the yard (20%) and is in flying form at the moment takes the ride in the six furlong fillies handicap. You’re My Cracker just didn’t quite get up in time to be denied in a photo over course and distance two weeks ago when drawn widest of all, and according to timeform put up a career best performance. Hopefully she can go one better this time.
This is once again a 0-75 contest but probably has a bit more depth than the two races that You’re My Cracker has contested thus far this season. It is the first time the filly takes on her elders, which can be tough and presents a different challenge against battle hardened opposition. Lead a Merry Dance has been in good form recently and Verus Delicia won the race last year, but of the older fillies Dangerous Age is feared most. It’s the two progressive three year olds that might be the main dangers though Free Love and Princess Tansy; who both won their last starts.
