Thoughts on You’re my Cracker at Windsor

You’re My Cracker makes her debut for the yard in the 8.50 at Windsor this evening (Monday, June 8th). Ryan Moore takes the ride in the six furlong classified stakes. The filly joined us a few weeks ago following a two year old career which saw finish second several times in maidens before winning one, she struggled on her first attempt in handicap company. She had a long break over the winter and did a some pre-training at Mickley stud before coming in to us. We are still learning more about her but she is ready to run and the conditions of the race made this an ideal starting point for her season. The trip and ground ought to suit on her previous form, she has a good draw and a great jockey. We’ve put blinkers on as she didn’t seem to concentrate particularly in her homework and they appeared to focus her attention.

The race look fiercely competitive and could through up any number of results. If one was to be particularly well handicapped it would probably be Bacall who won on her second start in January and hasn’t been seen out since. She’s a strong powerful looking filly based on what we saw of her as a yearling but has clearly not been the most straightforward to train. Explain has not been far away in two class four handicaps, so this represents a slightly easier assignment and sports blinkers for the first time and looks the most likely winner.
