Thoughts on Zephyrina
Zephyrina heads to Newmarket tonight for the 7.00. Adam McNamara is in the irons for the ten furlong fillies’ handicap. The pair are drawn in stall 4. Zephyrina steps up in distance for this start, she hasn’t really built on the promise she showed at three, but stayed on towards the end at Chepstow last time out in a race that didn’t pan out particularly well for her.
Zephyrina meets Morrooj again who won in good style when the pair met at Chepstow last time. The extra two furlongs aren’t guaranteed for Morrooj looking at her pedigree but didn’t look like they would be a problem at Chepstow.
Zephyrina is by Big Bad Bob, out of the Barathea mare, Western Sky. She races for owner Patrick Whitten and will be led up today by Ilse Belien.
Zephyrina was purchased at the Tatersalls September Yearling Sale for 13,000 euros by Daniel and Claire. With yearling sales fast approaching, get in contact now to discuss your requirements, or fill in the form in the link below and one of us will get back to you shortly.
