Thoughts on Zippy at Leicester today
Zippy makes her debut in the 3.30 at Leicester today (Monday, 26th October). Richard Kingscote rides the filly in the six furlong maiden. A filly who came in late to us she is not flashy but seems very tough and has made steady progression. A late foal she has the makings of a nice three year old. On breeding the soft ground shouldn’t trouble her. She will probably want further in time but this looked a nice opportunity to start her career on turf.
This doesn’t look the strongest maiden ever run and it would be no surprise to see a newcomer take the contest, Flying Clarets would be the most obvious amongst those that fall into the category. Of those with experience Shine Likeadiamond deserves to win a race and has been consistent for a while and has plenty of experience.
