Sepoy ex. Violet (Mukaddamah)
Ontoawinner & Capture the Moment IV
Sepoy is an exciting new addition to the stallion ranks. A superstar in Australia, he was rated the highest two year old for 35 years, at three he went on to be the World Champion sprinter and was the highest rated three year old sprinter ever in Australia. He will have his first crop of runners next season. Mutineer is out of a mare that has proven she can produce great race horses, including Starlarks who was amongst the best fillies of her generation in North America. His half brother, the very tough, Boo who ran 66 times and at his peak was running in the toughest handicaps in the calendar and at the prestigious Dubai Carnival. The colts dam is a half sister to Hong Kong Derby winner Sobrierty who won well over a million pounds in a glittering career in one of the world’s most competitive jurisdictions.
Mutineer had his first run in May as a two year old and was subsequently gelded and given time to grow and mature. He is now a strapping gelding with plenty of fire in his belly, when he channels it the right way he will develop into a good racehorse. He progressed with each of his next two runs, finishing fourth in a maiden that is working out well on his most recent at Kempton over seven furlongs in December. He ran a solid race again at Kempton on his last start over a mile and has been dropped to a mark of 60.
