Winner – Abbey Heights

Abbey Heights rewarded the patience of his owner breeders Gary & Lesley Middlebrook with his third career win at Nottingham on Wednesday afternoon. The six year old gelding was having his ninth start and winning on the turf for the first time. He is a horse that has always shown a lot of potential at home but had a very interrupted career. This was his second start after a 577 day lay off and he should continue to build on this in the coming weeks. A straight level six furlongs look like his ideal conditions and he can develop into a useful sprinter.

Richard Kingscote did a great job in the saddle keeping him balanced on the ridges at Nottingham. The team have shown a lot of patient horsemanship and skill to bring him back so thank you to them.
