Winner – Andaleep

Andaleep ran out a very comfortable winner at Windsor on Sunday afternoon. Young amateur jockey Henry Main was in the saddle. Andaleep was recording his second win since joining us in June. This was Andaleep’s fifth run and he has also picked up two second places and a third. It is a credit to the hard work of our team and their horsemanship to keep him at the top of his game. Congratulations to owner James Finch.

He will try to win under a penalty at Beverley on Wednesday. He has held his weight and condition well with racing. He didn’t look to have an overly had race on Sunday either, Henry never having to do more than keep him up to his work with hands and heels. Andaleep was 9 kilograms heavier for his win at Windsor than his first one for us at Goodwood. His placed efforts in between his two wins were at intermediate weights. He came off the scale just 3 kilograms lighter this morning. So certainly on that front the quick turnaround should be fine.

Looking further ahead he will be aimed at the apprentice race in the valuable Sunday Series finale at Sandown on the 21st of August.

Henry is one of Britain’s representatives in the prestigious Fegentri series. An international competition for amateur jockeys. He also won last year’s amateur Derby. He is still able to claim five pounds in Amateur races and we would certainly recommend him to anyone looking for a jockey in Amateur races.
