Winner – Arishka

Arishka won in good style at Newcastle last night, she broke smartly and was always travelling comfortably, two furlongs from home jockey Kieran O’Neill asked her to pass the leader and the race was never in doubt, the only question being the margin of victory as she skipped clear for her owners the Diskovery Partnership & Crowd Racing.

Owners on course enjoyed celebrating the win in the winning connections lounge whilst those at home shared the fun together with much communication in the Crowd Racing Whatsapp Group, a great way for all owners in that syndicate to be part of the action.

Arishka is the fifth winner for her dam from five runners including the smart Group 3 Acomb Stakes winner Treaty of Paris (who later raced in Hong Kong as Too Fast). She has always shown promise at home but hasn’t always had the best of luck on the course. After a break last Autumn she came back a stronger filly and her recent work has been good. She won by three and a quarter lengths and no doubt the handicapper will raise her mark a fair way which means she will face stiffer opposition next time out but on the evidence of last night’s victory with several recent winners in behind her that should be a task she is up to.

The Diskovery Partnership is a partnership of 5% and 10% shareholders managed by Daniel and Claire, with direct communication to your trainer. We are currently offering a quality strong two year old filly by Swiss Spirit, more details here.

Arishka is the first horse that we have worked together with Crowd Racing on, a very well organised syndicate that offer a range of shares and club ownership options. They have horses with a few trainers in different parts of the country. It was great to get their green and gold colours to the winning post and we are confident it will be the first of many. Arishka was led up by James Pulley and supervised by Travelling Manager Shaun Johnson at the track. Several of the team ride her at home regularly so it was a real team effort.
