Winner – Helm Rock
On Saturday evening Helm Rock rounded off an excellent week for the team. Recording his 4th win and also the 4th win in the last seven days for Sarsen Farm. Helm Rock was winning for the second time this season, both victories under Nicola Currie. Shouldering a big weight he was able to set the fractions and pulled a way from his rivals entering the home straight to put the race to bed by three and a half lengths.
Helm Rocks runs for Capture the Moment, which is syndicate Daniel & Claire run. We purchase yearlings and syndicate them amongst a small group of people typically three or four partners. The idea is to find something over real quality that can win races. Before going on to compete, in the better races. The current two year old Forest Demon was a winner on Wednesday. There looks to be considerable improvement in the future for him as well.
Helm Rock has an entry at Leicester later this week and an entry in the Sunday Series at Sandown on Sunday. He is at his best on softer going so we may wait for other targets. Helm Rock will also come into consideration for the £50,000 Racing League races. He will also aim at better handicaps over a mile to a mile and a quarter later in the season. He may get an entry into the Cambridgeshire which closes on Tuesday.
Past Capture the Moment horses include the impressive two year old winner and Group 3 placed Il Paparazzi, ten time winner Outrage and Affileo. Affileo was sold to Team Valor after winning by five lengths on debut. She won her next start in their colours, then ran a creditable fifth in the Listed Lingfield Oaks trial before transferring to the USA.
