Winner Lil Guff

Lil Guff won for the first time at Kempton under Richard Kingscote yesterday evening. Having run consistently in maiden and novice company, including seconds at Newmarket (where she won her side) & Newbury she deserved to get her head in front. Sitting in behind the leaders she was briefly under pressure as the quickened up but responded well to Richard’s urgings and settled things fairly comfortably in the end.

Epona Miller leading in Richard Kingscote aboard Lil Guff

Lil Guff races for Wayne & Sarah Clifford, they bred the two year old filly at their Byerley Stud, where many of our horses enjoy breaks from training. By Twilight Son she is out of their Holy Roman Emperor mare Lady McGuff. She could tackle nursery company or stick to novice races as she should remain competitive if placed carefully under her penalty.

Well done to all the team, particularly Epona Miller who rides her most of the time and cares for her at home.
