Winner – Nyala

Nyala ran out a comfortable winner of the 4:40 at Brighton yesterday afternoon under William Carson. The filly has had a consistent season and deserved to get a win to her name for owner breeder Vivienne O’Sullivan. In a mile race that was run at a stop start pace Nyala showed greater maturity than she has done to date and settled nicely behind the leaders. We have always felt she may be better over ten furlongs and may now explore this further as an option for her. She is versatile and seems to handle any ground so there are plenty of options going forward.

Nyala is the first foal out the placed Dalakhani Mare Cio Cio San. She is by Vale of York. She has an attractive half sister going to the yearling sales at Tattersalls in Newmarket in a months time so this was a welcome update to her pedigree.

Thank you to Vivienne and her partner Stuart Lake for their continued support.
