Winner – Outrage

Outrage recorded his sixth career victory last night at Newcastle in the 7.45. The strong son of Exceed and Excel loves the straight sprint course there and travelled well throughout the race to win the five furlong contest nicely. George Downing who has won twice and been placed in his four rides on the horse has an excellent record aboard Outrage. Outrage is seen to best effect when able to come with a strong late run and the strong early pace played right into his hands, with George timing his move to the front well. Outrage is in really good form at the moment and has been declared for a decent prize at York over six furlongs on Friday, although we will have to see how he recovers from his exertions and the travel from Newcastle. He also has an engagement at Kempton next Monday. In the process Outrage took his career record to 6 wins from 27 starts. He also picked up a Racehorse Owners Association bonus of £2,000 that was on offer for the race and one of the reasons that we targeted this race. Having been rated as high as 95 he should remain competitive in the coming weeks.

The win was good result for the whole team who have worked hard in the last few days as we had runners at three tracks on the day with Chitra getting beaten an agonising short head at Catterick and another placed effort from the consistent Nyala down at Brighton. With a runner the previous day at Pontefract, it took a fair amount of logistical planning to care for all the runners and for the yard to run smoothly and keep all the horses at home in top shape. So many thanks to everyone for their work.

There is the option to purchase either 25% or 50% of Outrage so if you’d like to have the chance to see a winner in your colours get in touch.
