Winner – Outrage

Outrage added a ninth career success at Lingfield yesterday afternoon in the 3.35. In a competitive five runner field he tracked the leader from his inside draw. Despite being hemmed in by a rival early on in the race jockey Richard Kingscote was able to find a split as they rounded the home turn to put in his trademark finishing kick. He reeled in long time leader Verne Castle to win by a neck in a tight finish with Pop Dancer just nosing out Verne Castle for second. With such a tight finish he is unlikely to be raised too much by the handicapper and his next target will probably at Newcastle on the 11th of February.

For Outrage it was a real deserved success following on from three consecutive second places. He been first or second on 17 of his 49 career starts. The win took Richard to 51 for the season and he currently leads the All Weather Jockey’s Championship by 9.
