Winner – Raimunda

Raimunda won her novice in good style on Saturday evening at Haydock. The three year old filly was having her third start having put up to solid performances in fourth at the track. The ground was heavy and she handled the conditions well. Tucked in behind the leaders, she put the race to bed well when asked by jockey Ali Rawlinson just over two furlongs out.

Bred by owners Gary & Lesley Middlebrook she is by Blame out of Volver (Danehill Dancer). She’s a good looking filly who an hopefully continue to progress. She won over a mile and stayed ten furlongs on her previous start. She can probably mix and match the two trips for the time being. Future plans will depend to an extent on her handicap mark.

Raimunda was led up by Tamsin Karn. She is ridden and cared for at home by Sammy Barnett. Thanks to all the team for their work to develop and care for her.
