Winner – Seneca Chief at the double
Seneca Chief put in an authoritative display when seeing off his rivals in a five furlong handicap at Chelmsford on Tuesday afternoon. Drawn in amongst horses he made much better break then in recent starts and was able to gain a prominent position. He settled into a nice rhythm and travelled strongly throughout the race pulling clear of his rivals when asked by jockey Ali Rawlinson. It was a far more mature performance from the gelding as he won his second race in four days. Taking his career tally to three wins from ten starts for owners Gary and Lesley Middlebrook who’s patience is beginning to pay off.

Seneca Chief will return to action in search of a quick fire hat trick on Saturday at Kempton where he runs over six furlongs, which has looked like it would suit him, now he has settled into his racing.
