Winner – Siempre Arturo
Siempre Arturo won for the second time on just his fourth career start on Saturday. He was making his handicap debut, and was given an intelligent ride by Jack Mitchell. Sitting towards the back of the field in a race that was being run at a crawl, Jack took the bull by the horns down the back straight and moved Siempre Aruturo to the shoulder of the leader. Turning in he committed for home and held on well.
Siempre Arturo is a horse that will keep progressing as he matures mentally. The team have done a really good job with a horse who lacked confidence in his early days. Patient horsemanship is seeming him mature and develop into a promising horse. Siempre is likely to be able to stay a little bit further too.
Siempre Arturo was winning in the colours of Crowd Racing who race together with owner breeder Viv O’Sullivan. The gelding is the second living foal out of La Donaella. The first foal was Glam Puss who was also a novice winner trained at Sarsen Farm.
Crowd Racing is racing club with a variety of membership options. They have recently taken on an exciting new filly by first season sire Mohaather. She is a half sister to Percy’s Lad who we bought as an older horse and won three times for the yard, including when breaking the track record at Chester. He has also run well twice at Royal Ascot. He was a good two year old for previous connections winning twice. As you can imagine we’re very excited to be training his half sister for Crowd Racing.
